I had an interview recently where they wanted a candidate with CPQ experience and I didn't have any. So what did I do? I went and started learning about CPQ on Trailhead. I can't offer what I don't have, but if I can offer a learning mindset and a good work ethic, I'll continue to climb this hill my own way.Good luck to all of you!

I didn't post last week but still kept on the Trailblazer Trail doing practice with CPQ, building out a flow, and getting some awesome advice from already established trailblazers. Question... What is the most impactful task you perform in Salesforce and why?#salesforce#cpq#flows#Salesforce Trailblazers

Excited to share that I cleared the CPQ Certification! 🎉 For those of you who are interested in obtaining this certification, I found the following resources helpful in my preparation:1️⃣ Partner Learning Camp: CPQ Fast Path to Certification. The impressive videos and assignments were a great way to get a comprehensive understanding of the concepts.2️⃣ Trailmix by Salesforce Trailhead: The modules were particularly helpful in reinforcing the concepts. I went through them multiple times to ensure they sunk in. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gxujSDaF3️⃣ Actual project experience: Working on a real project helped me put the concepts into practice and solidify my understanding.4️⃣ Taking the actual exam in a testing center: There are questions around pricing that require pen and paper to calculate. If you're taking the exam online, you cannot use notes.I hope these resources prove helpful in your own CPQ certification journey!

I almost walked away from CPQ forever.$2M spent, 5 months lost, and nothing to show. Here’s what happened:A decade ago, my first CPQ project was with a $95B company. The stakes were high, and so was my anxiety. We brought in the best minds from Salesforce, Accenture, and Deloitte. Our mission? To determine the best CPQ solution. We spent months evaluating:→ Salesforce CPQ→ Conga CPQ→ A custom in-house appAfter 5 grueling months and a $2M budget, the project was labeled a failure. Each team—Sales, Operations, IT—had its own agenda. We couldn’t find common ground, and it cost us.I was ready to walk away from CPQ.But here’s why I didn’t:→ I realized the power of a unified vision.→ I learned the power of RevOps and CPQ.→ I saw the impact it has on sales teams and operations. That failed CPQ project resulted in a deep interest within the RevOps sub-ecosystem.It also taught me how crucial it is to get everyone on the same page from day one.Fast forward to today, I lead CPQ projects with the lessons from that failure embedded in every step.Almost a decade has passed, and I still come across various failed CPQ projects. Always fun to work on.PS. What’s your toughest CPQ challenge?
